1. Introduction
NetPhone KE1020/1021 is a practical and highly
manageable VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone. Its
appearance looks like a regular telephone set. It can talk to
another NetPhone at zero dollar charge or to a regular PSTN
phone (you are now using at home or in the office) at a very low
cost. I can be worked on all enterprise intranets, extranets,
telecom-level IP service carrier networks, and any other users
with internet availability.
NetPhone KE1020 is single-port model; while
KE1021 the dual-port model that can be used as hub working with
a computer. The products are designed in accordance with U.S.
FCC (Federal Communications Commission) standard, and are
approved upon FCC testing.

3. Installation and
Settings
3.1 Installation
(1) Place your NetPhone on a firm table
near a power socket
(2) If you internet source is from a
router, a hub or a switch, connect Port 1 or LAN of the NetPhone
with the output port of the router, hub or switch by an Ethernet
10/100 Base-T cable, then go to (4)
(3) If your internet is coming from a cable
modem or ASDL adapter of a high-speed internet provider, connect
your NetPhone to the modem or adapter directly, using the
Ethernet 10/100 Base-T cable, then go to (4)
(4) If your NetPhone model is KE1020,
ignore this step, go to (5). If your NetPhone model is KE1021,
and if you want to use the computer and male phone call
simultaneously, connect your computer with Port 2 or PC port of
the NetPhone KE1021
(5) Plug the power adapter into the power
socket, and connect the output-plug to Port 3 or DC-12V port of
the NetPhone.
3.2 Settings
If your internet is coming from a
router, the information about Local IP, Router IP, DNS
IP, etc. will automatically be stored in your NetPhone after the
installation is finished. The only thing you need to do before
calling is Account Settings.
4. Account Settings
Press ‘SET/OK’ to main menu; use “UP’ and
‘DOWN’ to select ‘Account Settings’.
- Set Phone Number
Press ‘SET/OK’ to
submenu; use ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ to select ‘Phone number’;
Press ‘SET/OK’,
and then, use number keys to input the phone number (Reference
page 4 on hardcopy User Manual)
- Set User ID
Press
‘SET/OK’ to the submenu; use ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ to select ‘User
Identity’;
Press
‘SET/OK’, and then, use number keys to input the user ID.
Press ‘#’
to confirm
- Set User Password
Press
‘SET/OK’ to the submenu; use ‘UP’ & ‘DOWN’ to select ‘User
Password’;
Press
‘SET/OK’, and then, use number keys to input the user password
found on
your User
ID card (You need to scratch off the coating).
Press ‘#’
to confirm.
